Bolzano to Venice Self guided individual Tour
this cycling tour "Bolzano to Venice" with starting point in Bolzano and ending point in Venice is the best way to taste Veneto country by bike. It follows the Adige River cycling path then from Garda Lake to Venice along the cycle path I-1. In Veneto it is also part of the BI20 Aida cycle way. Of course it's possible to start from Venice and finish in Bolzano.

Day 1 – Bolzano.
Individual arrival to Bolzano in the heart of the Dolomites mountains. A bilingual city Bolzano is a bilingual city an it is a commercial and touristic centre and also a historical and cultural connection between the Italian and the German world.
Day 2 – Bolzano to Trento 68 km.
Today you will bike mostly along the Adige River, through vineyards and orchards passing the villages of Ora, Egna and Salorno. The bike path lead then to Trento. Once arrived you may visit the famous old town of Trento with the dome and castle named Buonconsiglio.
Day 3 – Trento–South Garda Lake area 75 km or 50 km + boat
Today you are always biking along the River Adige cycle paths until you reach Rovereto and Mori. From follow sign post to the Lake Garda. After a short climb, a refreshing descent will follow and lead you to Torbole and to Riva. Here a 4-hour ferry cruise takes you to the southern part of the lake.
Day 4 – South Garda Lake area–Verona 35/60 km.
Today you cycle to Verona which is one of the most important and beautiful cities of the Veneto region. Once in Verona it is worth visiting the Roman Arena, the church of San Zeno and Julia’s House where she met her lover Romeo.
Day 5 – Verona–Vicenza 75 km or 40 km.
Today the bike route heads through the Monti Berici, a hilly region just south of Vicenza, with a wonderful view of the city. Arrival in Vicenza where the old city centre is characterized by the beautiful private palaces and public buildings by Andrea Palladio, the famous 16th century architect known all over the world. This stage can also be reduced by taking a train from Verona to San Bonifacio (approx. 30 km). Train tickets not included.
Day 6 – Vicenza–Padova 50 km.
Before to leave Vicenza you will come across the beautiful Palladian Villa Rotonda. Along the Bacchiglione river, the route will continue to Montegalda where you shall start to head for the Euganean hills, this is known as the Padova thermal district with many spas. Padova is on the way.
Day 7 – Padova–Mestre/Venice 55 km.
The tour continues easily through the flat Veneto region. You will cycle along the Brenta Canal, overlooked by the once countryside villas of the Venetian families (Villa Pisani, , Villa Widmann, Villa Foscari called La Malcontenta) until you reach Mestre, Venice’s mainland. You can choose to stay in Venice with a price supplement.
Day 8 – Departure.
The price include: accommodation in double or twin room including buffet breakfast; daily luggage transport point to point; roadbook on gpx files, phone assistance 24/24h; a Travel&Bike gift.
The price not include: trip to/from Venice; boat ticket on Garda Lake; bike rental, meals and drinks; museum fees; city tax if request; extra and all things not marked on “the price include”.

by train: railway station of Bolzano. See timetable at Trenitalia website. Only Regional Trains can carry on the bikes
by plane: major Airlines to airports in Venice, Verona and Bologna and low cost to Treviso.
